Six Pakistani universities make to world’s top 800

Six Pakistani universities have made it to the list of top 800 universities of 2015/16, according to Quacquarelli Symonds.

The universities making it to the list are as follows:

1 National University of Sciences And Technology (NUST) Islamabad

Nust was ranked 501 worldwide, dropping down a hundred slots, from 401 in 2012.

2 Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad

It was placed at 651 in the list. Among Asian Universities Rankings, Quaid-e-Azam University secured the 116 slot.

3 Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)

The LUMS ranked 701, also dropping by a hundred positions, from 601 of 2012 rankings. In Asian ranking, the varsity was placed at 161.

4 University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore

The UET Lahore was also ranked 701 worldwide, while in Asian rankings it was placed at 251.

5 University of Karachi (UoK)

The UoK continued to remain at 701 since 2013. The university was ranked 251 in Asian University Rankings.

6 University of Lahore

The University of Lahore was also ranked 701 worldwide.

Meanwhile, 14 universities from India made it to the list of top 800.

1 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

2 Harvard University

3 University of Cambridge

4 Stanford University

5 California Institute of Technology (CALTECH)

6 University of Oxford

7 University College London UCL

8 Imperial College London

9 Eth Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology)

10 University of Chicago
