Pervaiz hopes Pakistani businessmen will make inroads in Russian market

Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid has stressed upon the need for increasing and diversifying Pakistani products and expressed the hope that Pakistani business persons would make inroads into the Russian market.

Talking to Pakistani businessmen during his visit to the Pakistani stalls at the exhibition “World Food Moscow,” he said the business-friendly government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif laid great emphasis on increasing trade so that the people of Pakistan could reap its fruits by way of employment, increase their per capita income and higher standards of living.

“Pakistan has unique varieties of fruits, vegetables and grains unmatchable in their taste, fragrance and food value. Our business community must leverage their advantage for both their personal benefit as well as earning foreign exchange for the country,” said the minister.

Senator Pervaiz Rashid said while the government would support the Pakistani traders and businessmen in marketing their products abroad, it was now imperative that they demonstrated their ability to compete in the international market both in terms of quality and cost.

“You are not only businessmen but you can serve as goodwill ambassadors of Pakistan in Russian Federation. Your ethical and fair business practices will earn the country a good name and help improve its image,” he emphasised.
