Pak-China military relations will grow to unprecedented heights: COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said on Tuesday that special relationship between Pak-China armies which has transformed overtime would grow to unprecedented heights.

General Raheel Sharif visited Bahadur Ranges (Attock) and witnessed Joint Field Exercise Warrior-III, while a senior-level Chinese military delegation under General Li Fayi represented People Liberation Army (PLA) on the closing ceremony of Pakistan-China Special Forces’ joint exercise for counter terrorism.

Speaking on the occasion, General Raheel Sharif praised the young soldiers for their display of professionalism and skills during the exercise and said that the exercise had boosted military relations between Pakistan and China.

“The everlasting relation will grow to unprecedented heights as both countries will continue to work towards total elimination of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” General Raheel Sharif said.

The COAS especially commended troops of the SSG for their outstanding performance in operation Zarb-e-Azb. He vowed to continue operations with the same momentum till the achievement of a terror free Pakistan.

Special Forces of the Pakistan Army and China’s PLA have conducted a seven-week exercise with focus on counter-terrorism operations.
