Mushahid Hussain given CPEC Parliamentary Committee reins

Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed was elected Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Chairman in its maiden meeting held at the Parliament House.

The election was conducted by Secretary National Assembly Muhammad Riaz.

Syed Mushahid Hussain Syed’s name was proposed by Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bezenjo and seconded by all other members of the committee. Syed Mushahid Hussain Sayed after being elected as the chairman, thanked his fellow colleagues for reposing confidence in him. He said that through collective efforts, the committee would effectively perform its oversight responsibility for CPEC projects which were of utmost significance for the economic development of Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by MNAs Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan, Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Dr. Ibadullah, Mr. Isphanyar M. Bhandara, Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani, Mr. Akram Khan Durrani, Mr. Ghous Bux Khan Mahar, Mr. Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Syed Ghazi Gulab Jamal, Mr. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Senators Lt. General (R) Salahuddin Tirmizi, Mr. Shibli Faraz, Mr. Baz Muhammad Khan, Mr. Muhammad Talha Mehmood and Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo.
