National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDCL) has started the construction of 220 kV grid station in Mansehra.
Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Murtza Javed Abbasi and NTDCL Managing Director Engineer Muhammad Arshad Chaudhry laid the foundation stone of the grid station on Monday.
Addressing the ground breaking ceremony, the state minister congratulated the people of Mansehra and said that the government is committed to resolve the issue of energy crisis and poverty in the country and is taking all possible measures to provide basic amenities to masses at their door steps.
He thanked Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and said that the present government is taking keen interest to resolve power shortage of the country. He assured that similar projects will also be started in other parts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to fulfill the electricity needs.
