343 terrorists killed, 370 held under NAP in Sindh

A government report on National Action Plan (NAP) says that a total of 343 terrorists were killed and 370 were arrested so far in Sindh province.

The report says that the law enforcement authorities conducted as many as 9,958 raids and 844 search operations.

Explosives weighing 1500 kilograms were seized besides a large variety of 5,223 weapons.

The authorities also took into custody four men over charges of providing financial support to the terrorists. A total of 1407 illegal immigrants were arrested and out of these 358 were released on bail.

As many as 1081 cases were lodged under Sindh South Regulation Act and 559 people arrested.

Twenty-eight cases were registered over charges of hate speech while 12 individuals have been arrested till today.

The report further said that out of 251 people included in the fourth schedule, 122 are still out of the legal radar.

It said 39 people were arrested for misrepresenting facts relating to the sale and purchase of property.

Eleven people were arrested for involvement in writing hate graffiti.

The report put the total number of unregistered madressas to 584 in Sindh province in which 73,236 students are enrolled.
