Two killed, seven injured in city

Two persons were killed and seven others including two police constables injured in violent incidents in the metropolis on Monday.

A woman, Firdous, 30, wife of Ahamd, was strangled to death in Dastagir, Block 15 Federal B area. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

The body of a man, aged about 26, was found near Sher Shah Nullah area of Mewa Shah Graveyard. It was shifted to ASH for a postmortem. Rescue sources said the man was killed by gunshot.

A woman, Nasreen, 45, wife of Hanif, was injured by dacoits when she offered resistance to them in Gulshan-e-Abbas area of Surjani Town. She was shifted to ASH for treatment.

A youth, Rehan, 22, was stabbed and injured near AB Factory in Site area. He was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

In another incident, a man, Karim, 30, son of Kalam, was shot and injured by unidentified gunmen in Akber Shah Goth, Korangi 100 Quarters. He was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment.

Saleem Ahamd, 55, and Furqan, 29, were injured by unidentified armed men at Mobile Market area of Saddar. They were shifted to JPMC for treatment.

Two traffic police constables, Juma Khan, 50, and Umer Hayat, 45, were injured by unidentified gunmen in Mai Kolachi area. They were shifted to JPMC for treatment.
