Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Marvi Memom has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assigned her the task to implement his vision of upholding self-respect and dignity of BISP beneficiaries.
Speaking to a gathering of women in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, she said more than 5.1 million women were getting BISP aid on monthly basis. She said that BISP was a revolutionary aid programme for the wellbeing of deserving women and federal government will continue it.
During her visit to IDP’s Camp dislocated by Indian army firing at Line of Control at Fathe Pur Thakyiala, she said she was there with them to share their grief and the hardships they were facing due to the Indian aggression.
