Naval officer killed by woman in Raja Bazaar

A Naval officer was killed by a woman, apparently on a trivial issue, in the locality of Ganjmandi Police Station inside a restaurant in the heavily crowded Raja Bazzar on Sunday, police said.

The incident occurred in the noon when naval officer Lieutenant Ahsan Allah Yousaf – son of Subedar (r.) Yousaf – was having lunch with his spouse at a hotel when all of a sudden another woman Rehana came there and asked him to return the SIM of his cellular phone.

On refusal by Ahsan, she got infuriated and took out a knife and attacked Ahsan, leaving him critically injured. Rehana fled from the scene unrestricted and unchallenged.

Ahsan was shifted to a nearby District Head Quarter Hospital, Fawara Chowk where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Gunjmandi police after informing the Naval authorities about the mishap, handed over the body to doctor for autopsy. It is learnt that Ahsan was appointed in Karachi and has been on leave in Rawalpindi.
