A drive against the crippling disease of polio will commence in all the 32 districts of the Balochistan province from Monday (today).
This was announced in a communication on Sunday by the Provincial Coordinator, Emergency Operations Centre, Polio Eradication and Immunizations, Government of Balochistan, Dr Syed Saifur Rehman. He said that the target population is 24, 72,616 – these are children who are five years or younger.
The total polio team consists of 6,603 members, with total fixed teams of 796, total transit teams of 321 and permanent transit teams of 46.
