Two Levies personnel were killed in a suspected targeted killing incident in Balochistan’s Awaran district on Saturday.
A Levies official said that unknown assailants opened fire at security personnel in Mashkay area of Awaran district, leaving two of them dead.
Both officials died on the spot while the assailants, who were on a motorcycle, managed to flee.
He said the incident appears to be an act of targeted killing, however no militant or terrorist group immediately claimed responsibility for the gun attack.
Militants in the area have been targeting security forces and pro-government personalities in the area for more than a decade.
