The Joint Action Committee of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center and National Institute of Child Health announced on Friday that a complete strike will be observed in both healthcare institutions on 14th September against non-approval of health allowance summery by the chief minister Sindh.

An emergency meeting of the joint action committee was held at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center which was chaired by Gul Saeed Khan, while other executive members including Syed Ameer Hussain Shah, Ismail Jiskani, Abdul Wahid, Faisal Chaudhary, Irshad Arian, Abdul Qadeer and Ghazi Jan were present.

The participants of the meeting expressed their concern over delay in approval of health allowance summery by the chief minister. The summery of health allowance has been waiting for approval since seven months.

The media coordinator of Joint Action Committee JPMC & NICH Ismail Jiskani said they had decided to observe a complete strike in both the hospitals. He said the employees had postponed their protest demonstration on the assurance of the health department in the past and no progress had been made in this regard as health allowance summery was still pending with chief minister for approval.

He said the employees would obverse complete strike on 14th September, however, their protest would continue till issuance of notification of health allowance summery. He lamented that the provincial health department was not serious to resolve this long-standing issue of employees.
