ATC adjourns MQM leader Amir Khan’s hearing till Oct 10

An anti-terrorism court in Karachi on Saturday adjourned hearing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Amir Khan’s case till October 10.

During the case proceeding, police presented interim challan in the court. The challan declared five MQM workers as absconders. MQM leader Amir Khan appeared before the court.

The court approved the challan and ordered immediate arrest of other accused including Naeem, Ejaz, Raees, Imran and Shehzada.

The investigation officer submitted supplementary charge sheet in the court, in which the MQM workers Raees alias Mama, Shahzad, Ijaz Niazi and Naeem alias Mulla were declared proclaimed offenders.

The investigation officer accepted that the challan was submitted in a hurry, in which the names of proclaimed offenders were not included.

The investigation officer said that they have evidence against these proclaimed offenders.

The Rangers lawyer Rana Khalid appeared before the court and said that Raees alias Mama is the head of the target killers.

Meanwhile, the MQM lawyer objected the supplementary charge sheet.

The court adjourned the hearing till October 10 after dialogues with the MQM leader Amir Khan.

The senior MQM leader Amir Khan is facing charges of instigating terrorism and harboring criminals. He was arrested during Rangers raid on party headquarter Nine Zero in March this year.
