PTI leaders feeling unsafe amidst TTP threats

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have called for provision of security after banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) issued threats to them.

In a letter written to the Punjab chief minister, Home Ministry and security agencies, the PTI has demanded security.

TTP has issued threats to leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) including Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Chauhdry Sarwar.

The threats have also been received by the leader of opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, NA-122 candidate Aleem Khan, Mian Aslam Iqbal and Tamiur Khan.

PTI Organiser Chaudhry Sarwar said that the threats received were a serious matter and it was the government’s responsibility to provide them with security during the by-elections.
