Magistrate Waqas Rasheed on Thursday reissued an arrest warrant for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) sit-in facilitator DJ Butt for not appearing before court for a case hearing.
Despite assurances, DJ Butt did not appear before the court for a second time on Thursday due to which his statement could not be recorded.
The court also issued a show cause notice to the investigating officer for his absence and adjourned the hearing till September 15.
Butt is facing a lawsuit under Article 144 and the Amplifier Act for his role during the PTI sit-ins in D-Chowk.
