67th death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam observed

The 67th death anniversary of founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was observed across the country with due solemnity and reverence on Friday.

Special prayers were offered in mosques for the departed soul. Quran and Fateha Khawani were also held at Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi.

Various organisations and educational institutions held special programmes to pay tribute and highlight Quaid’s life, struggle and achievements.

In wake of the death anniversary, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also urged the people to follow Quaid-e-Azam’s vision to overcome the current challenges being faced by Pakistan.

In his message, the president said Quaid’s guiding principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline can help the nation even today to resolve its current problems.

The prime minister, in his message, said we need the same spirit, clear thinking and determination demonstrated to defeat the current challenges.

He added we are required to benefit from the political acumen of the Quaid-e-Azam at every stage so that Pakistan keeps prospering.
