The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday appointed its Nazir to inspect alleged illegal construction on four plots in Karachi’s JamshedTown area.

Karachi Point of View Welfare Association cited Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), owners of plots, Managing Director of KWSB, sub registrar of JamshedTown, KE and SSGC as respondents against alleged illegal construction.

The petitioner stated that owners of plots, Irfan, Talha Mustafa, Shehzad Mughal and Samad Qureshi were raising construction against the rules of SBCA in Bihar Colony, JamshedTown. The builders have used more area for covered construction in violation of approved plan while ignoring all the safety measures.

The petitioner pleaded to the court to direct the SBCA not to allow the owners to raise reconstruction at plots in deviation of approved plan and demolish all the illegal construction. The court was requested to restrain KWSB, KE and SSGC to provide utility services and to restrain sub registrar of JamshedTown from registering subleases.

The welfare association requested the court to appoint its Nazir for inspection. The court appointed its Nazir and directed him to inspect the site, take photographs and submit report within 15 days.
