Pakistan People’s Party Central Leader Aitzaz Ahsan has said that false cases of corruption and terrorism would not deter party leadership, and that NAB should instead look towards the Metro project if they wanted to find corruption.
“False and baseless cases of terrorism and corruption are being instituted against PPP leaders. The PPP cannot be deterred by such tactics. We will face the cases bravely,” he said while talking to media outside the court on Monday.
He went on to say that the Metro Bus Project in Islamabad was built at a cost of Rs 45 billion but no bidding was held for the project. “Massive corruption of billion of rupees has been committed in executing the project but no one has noticed it,” he said demanded the NAB to probe the irregularities in the mega project.
He alleged that PPP leader Qasim Zia was being politically victimised.
