Filing of Nomination papers for LB elections in Sindh and Punjab begins

The process of filing of nomination papers for local bodies’ elections in Sindh and Punjab began on Monday which will continue till Thursday.
Scrutiny would be held from 12th to 17th of September month and last date for filing of appeals against the acceptance or rejection of the nomination papers is 22nd of September month.
Last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is first of October. Revised list of candidates would be published on the second of October and polling would be held on 31st of October.
In Punjab, local government elections will be held in eleven districts in the first phase. The districts are: Lodhran, Vehari, Okara, Pak Pattan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Bhakkar, Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Gujrat and Chakwal.
In Sindh, polls would be held in the districts of Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Shikarpur, Qamber Shahdadkot, Jacobabad and Kashmore.
