Security forces on Saturday night recovered a large quantity of weapons along with thousands of bullets in a major operation in the federal capital. These weapons were allegedly being rented out to the miscreants coming from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
According to details, Rangers, police and intelligence agencies, headed by Assistant Commissioner Captain Waqas, raided a shop in Faraash Town area of Islamabad and found unlicensed and illegal weapons in large quantity. The weapons included 78 guns, 3000 bullets, three knives and state-of-the-art binoculars. Three suspects were also arrested in the raid.
According to sources, these weapons were being rented out to miscreants coming from FATA as well as local criminals in their activities in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and surrounding areas.
