MSA holds cleanliness drive at Baba Bhit Island

On special directives of Director General Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (MRA) Rear Admiral Jameel Akhtar (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), a one-day cleanliness dive was launched in BabaBhitIsland.

More than 300 students of Government Urdu Boys and Girls Primary School Haji Peer Muhammad besides the local elders took part in the drive.

On the occasion, schoolchildren participated in various competitions of tableaus, paintings and other extra-curricular activities. They also sang the national songs. Commander KashifAzam, representative of Sindh Education Foundation Ashfaq Mirani, representative of Indus Research Center  Nasir Ahmed, Native Island Fishermen Association representative Asif Bhatti and others participated in the event. Addressing on the occasion, Commander Kashif said the defense of the country would be ensured at all costs. He said the aspirations of the 1965 war were still present in today’s youths.

Ashfaq Mirani said it was praiseworthy that the students of Karachi islands were keen to get education. Nisar Ahmed said they could make their country on the path of progress and prosperity by spreading education. Asif Bhatti said they were thankful to the Pakistani Maritimes Security Agency for resolving the civic issues of the islands. However, the local residents were jubilant on successful holding of the cleanliness drive in their area.
