SUP continues sit-in against ‘massive corruption’ in Sindh

Sindh United Party (SUP) Karachi division continued its sit-in protest on the second consecutive day outside the Karachi Press Club on Saturday against “massive corruption” in Sindh.

The demonstrators, carrying placards and banners, shouted slogans against rulers for showing negligence in controlling corruption.

SUP Sindh General Secretary Syed Zain Shah, Divisional President Mebboob Ali Abbasi and Secretary Punhal Larik said that corruption is main cause of recent crises of unemployment, food insecurity, lack of justice, and mass corruption that are hitting the people of Sindh hard, particularly the poor. They alleged since Asif Ali Zardari had taken leadership of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), its manifesto had been converted into corruption.

They said SUP stands with people for achievement of their rights. He clarified that people of Sindh and corruption could not go together. They alleged, “PPP had badly affected the structure of administration since last seven years and had made record corruption.”

Zain Shah said infrastructure of Sindh had been completely destroyed, while the farmers had become financially bankrupt due to lack of interest by the government. He said, “Lacs of rupees corruption has been committed in Sindh’s Irrigation Department.” He said merit for jobs in police, education and health department had been massively violated.

SUP Divisional Secretary Mehboob Abbasi while condemning rising injustice in Sindh, said that they support rangers’ operation in Karachi against the terrorists and corrupt elements gulping up people’s rights.

  1. You need strict and harsh anticorruption laws, look at China they got back 6 billion dollars from corrupt officials.
