Real life Bajrangi Bhaijaan never makes it past stage where host’s daughter says she wanted to marry him

“They beat the crap out of me”

Bombay – Our Bollywood Correspondent: Pawan Chatturvedi, the real life Bajrangi Bhaijan that the Bollywood film of the same name portrayed, revealed that the film’s screenwriter and director took an artistic license with the truth.

“In real life, I did not make it beyond the stage where my hosts’ daughter said she wanted to get married to me, that too, in front of the family that had come for the rishta.”

“First, he started beating me in front of the guests and continued to do so till much after they had left,” he said. “Then, he asked his boys at the wrestling club to continue doing so. I suffered multiple injuries and concussions and woke up two days later at the hospital.”

Chatturvedi was then escorted back to his hometown, where he currently works as a wrestling coach.

When asked about Pakistani child Shahida, he said he never danced like that at the religious festival where the little girl saw him, like it happened in the film.

Meanwhile, a Pakistani girl Shahida indeed was found near the temple shown in the movie, where she was adopted by a local childless couple. The mute girl is currently living a life of luxury with thousands of devotees coming every day to seek her blessings.
