A man was injured and his son killed in a road accident in the Chontra areaon Friday.
According to police, a truck (GLTA-1529) skidded off the road due to speeding and rammed into a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction on Chontra Road. Motorcycle rider, Tanveer Hussain, sustained serious injuries in the collision while his son, Umar, was killed on the scene. The truck driver fled the scene leaving the victims in a pool of blood. The injured and the dead were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment and medico-legal formalities. The police have registered a case against the truck driver and started the investigation.
