  • As many as 10 new cases surface in Punjab, tally mounts to 79

Dengue cases continue to surface in Punjab as10 new cases have been reported across the province taking one month tally to 79.

The Punjab Health Department spokesman said that 10 people including seven from Rawalpindi, two from Dera Ghazi Khan and one from Lahore were shifted to different hospitals of districts concerned had been diagnosed with dengue.

During last one month, 79 dengue cases have surfaced across Punjab of which 56 belong to Rawalpindi district while the rest of the cases were reported from Sheikhupura, Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan, Sahiwal,  Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad and Narowal districts.

Despite all out efforts of provincial health authorities, dengue cases continue to surface in different districts of Punjab.

Citizens have expressed concerns over the surge in dengue virus and demanded of the provincial government and health authorities for solid measures to overcome the dengue which was posing serious threat for the people of the province.
