Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at PM House on Friday.
Matters relating to internal security situation and security of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects came under discussion during the meeting.
The sources said that matters relating to the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and other issues pertaining to the internal security situation also came up during the meeting.
The two leaders also exchanged views on speeding up implementation of the National Action Plan, the sources added.
