The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday appointed two former judges of election tribunals on key seats.
The ECP has appointed judge Javed Rashid who gave verdict in Khawaja Saad Rafique’s constituency as Lahore District Returning Officer (RO) for the local body (LB) polls.
Judge Rana Zahid will perform duties on a key seat in the LB polls also. Judge Zahid had passed verdict in NA-154 constituency.
Earlier, Justice (r) Kazim Malik had refused ECP’s offer for LB elections.
It should be mentioned here that Malik had given verdict in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in NA-122 against Pakistan Mulsim League-Nawaz’s Ayaz Sadiq.
