Female school teacher kidnapped, killed

A female school teacher was kidnapped on Wednesday from her school in PIB Colony and her murdered body was found later in the day from the Korangi Industrial Area.

The dead body of Quratul Ain, 26, was found with her hands and legs tied in an abandoned area in Allahwala Town of Korangi, said Landhi SP Afnan Amin. He said that investigators have found significant clues about the identity and motive of the suspects, adding that some of them had been detained for questioning.

The family of the deceased had filed a reported at the PIB Police Station saying their daughter was missing since 7:30 am on Wednesday from a private school in PIB Colony.

Another police officer said CCTV footage from the school showed that another girl, identified as Fiza, arrived at the school in the morning along with her friend, Sakina, and a man identified as Baqar. He said the three of them took Quratul Ain to a ‘rest house’ near the Saudi Consulate in Defence.

CCTV footage from the area showed Fiza, along with Quratul Ain and a man, stepping out of a car and going inside the rest house. Subsequently, Sakina is seen leaving the place in the same car. Later in the day, Quratul Ain’s dead body was found in Korangi.

The police have detained Fiza and a man named Manzar, who he claimed was the victim’s fiancé.

“Initial probe suggests the girl, Fiza, hatched a plan to kill Quratul Ain to marry Manzar, her boyfriend,” the police officer said.
