At least one traffic police constable was killed and two others injured in an attack in Gulbai area in Karachi on Wednesday evening.
The injured constables were identified as Liaquat and Naveed. They have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Earlier on Sunday, at least three people, including two traffic police officials were killed in Karachi.
That attack had prompted traffic police officials to demand provision of security to carry out their duties. Subsequently, the government approved a programme where two traffic constables would be assigned to provide security to their comrades in every district.
