Ten outlaws killed in encounters with Police in Punjab

Ten criminals were killed in encounters with police in different parts of Punjab while eight others were taken into custody on Wednesday.

Sources in Punjab Police headquarters said that the encounters took place in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad and Sargodha. They said those killed were involved in crimes of serious nature.

According to details, three dacoits were killed in encounter with police in Thana Garh jurisdiction in Faisalabad. Police said that arrested dacoits were being taken for the recovery of looted material when their cohorts attacked the police party to get them free from police custody. Two arrested dacoits were killed with the firing of their associates while an attacker was killed by police firing. Two of the three killed dacoits were identified as Hassan and Askari.

Another clash took place in Aishar area of Sheikhupura in which two dacoits were killed and one of their colleague managed to escape. The clash took place when police on information reached in Aishar where the robbers were busy in looting the people. On seeing the police, dacoits started firing and in retaliatory fire two dacoits were killed.

Other deaths and arrests of criminals took place in Lahore and Sargodha in exchange of firing between police and the outlaws.
