Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected a petition seeking ban on Altaf Hussain’s party Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Wednesday.
The petition was filed by Barrister Masroor Shah on behalf of a citizen Mazhar Iqbal. Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition.
The petitioner requested the court that a ban should be imposed on MQM by declaring it a party run by foreign funding. He alleged that MQM is a threat to national security.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected the petition on the basis that it is too early to decide on the matter.
