Law enforcement agencies on Thursday claimed to have foiled a terror bid of blowing up railways track by defusing a bomb weighting five kilograms planted under the track here on Wednesday.
According to details, on a tip off, the Police and law enforcement agencies’ personnel reached the site near Sachal Mirani village. Khushhaal Khan Khattak Express was stopped at Shikarpur station as the news of planted bomb surfaced.
The targeted train was on way to Peshawar from Karachi. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused the bomb on the railway track. BDS said that the bomb was at least five Kg heavy and was made of urea.
