Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has demanded of the government to announce tax relief package immediately to remove concerns of business community so that traders can know the benefits of this package and its withholding tax on banking transactions.

Chambers of all Pakistan, the Federation Chamber and Committees of Business Organizations made several different proposals during the meetings. These meetings have been held with the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Prime Minister’s special adviser Haroon Akhtar, Chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa, MNA Mian Manan, Pervez Malik and Rana Afzal and the preferable Members of FBR.

President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce Syed Asad Mashadi urged the government and the FBR to announce tax relief package according to given proposals. After the implementation of this package the traders who have business transactions   within the limits of five hundred million rupees they can ready to reveals their real income due to low tax rate and we appreciate FBR new step that minimize the chances to conceal their original transactions because now the business man ID card number is used as tax number.

He said we cannot defend those business personnel who do business in millions and didn’t have national tax number. Now is the time that the ID card number would be tax number and couldn’t hide the transaction and information of banking transaction sale and purchase would be available to the computers of Tax officials. Pakistani Business community has good chance to correct the tax issues if they want that withholding tax is not imposed. Before that traders are compelled to show low income due to tax system, but after the tax package traders would do their business freely.
