At least 3 killed, 50 injured in Khyber Agency suicide attack

At least three people were killed and over 50 injured in a suicide attack in Khyber Agency’s Jamrud Bazaar on Tuesday.

The suicide bomber struck near a local government office in Jamrud Bazaar area. A political administration official said that the blast was carried out near the vehicle of Line Officer of the Khasadar force.

Officials said a second bomb had been planted outside the office of the political agent, but had been defused.

As of yet, no militant group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.

The town of Jamrud in Khyber tribal district borders Afghanistan, where the military has been battling Taliban and religious militant groups.
