Three outlaws were killed when gunmen opened fire on a police van in Chak 24 area of Bahawalpur on Sunday.
According to police, the suspects identified as Shafiqueur Rehman, Khateebur Rehman and Atiqueur Rehman were taken in police custody after they were arrested for their involvement in motorcycles robbery.
Nine armed men, who were said to be their accomplices, attacked on police van to get them released. The three outlaws were killed on the spot while their nine accomplices managed to flee the scene.
