Investigation officers on Sunday revealed that deputy managing director of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Shoaib Warsi along with accomplices were important aides of former petroleum minister and member of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Dr Asim Hussain.
As per sources, SSGC officials were involved in mega corruption. Rangers’ personnel told that Shoaib Warsi illegally allotted more than 100 gas connections to industrial areas on the directives of Dr Asim Hussain.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused were apprehended for alleged involvement in illegal land possession, CNG licenses, illicit contracts and corruption.
