As many as 12 dengue cases surfaced in Punjab on Saturday escalating the number of dengue cases for August to 49, out which 27 are from Rawalpindi, four from Sheikhupura, three each from Lahore, Gujranwala and Multan and one each from Faisalabad and Narowal.
The Punjab Health Department spokesman said that 12 people from various districts of Punjab at different hospitals were found affected with dengue virus.
Out of 12 new dengue patients, eight were under treatment at Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi and two each at DHQ Rawalpindi and Gujranwala.
