After 8 years gap, Mehreen Jabbar, the director of the film Ramachand Pakistani and a TV drama Jackson Heights, has revealed that she will be releasing her new film, Dobara Phir Se in 2016.
The film is set in New York, starring Adeel Husain, Hareem Farooq, Sanam Saeed, Tooba Siddiqui, Ali Kazmi, Atiqa Odho, Shaz Khan, and child actor Moosa.
Written by Bilal Sami, the film revolves around love, friendship and growing up.
Acording to a local media, Jabbar said that her film included a character of a divorced Pakistani woman based in New York who visits an upscale Connecticut suburb to visit her estranged ex-mother-in-law.
Mehreen Jabbar declared the shooting of her new film, Dobara Phir Se, in a tweet a week ago:
“Film shoot of Dobara Phir Se starts in 3 days in New York. 8 years after Ramchand Pakistani. Nervous. Excited. Psyched.”
Mehreen Jabbar is a promising director whose work revolves around present day issues.
