Shujaat asks Opp parties, including PTI, to boycott by-elections
Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain on Thursday congratulated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on “getting stolen mandate recovered and exposing the thieves”.
Talking to media at his residence, Shujaat said all opposition parties, including PTI, should completely boycott the by-election in the presence of the current Election Commission.
Talking about election tribunals’ annulment of the elections of N-League candidates in three constituencies of the National Assembly and ordering holding of fresh elections, he said that three seats will not affect the system but the important thing is exposing the mandate stealers. He said Imran Khan should now focus on getting those who stole people’s mandate punished.
Answering a question, Hussain said that Imran Khan was talking about fall of fourth wicket but perhaps he had forgotten that there are only three wickets on the cricket pitch which he has quite successfully dislodged, and won the match. “Fourth wicket does not exist on the field,” he said.
