Three more people died of consuming toxic liquor here on Thursday after which 24-hour death toll has climbed to five.
Police said that three persons hailing from Nawabshah drank locally manufactured liquor which turned poisonous resulting in death of three people while some others were reported affected.
Earlier on Wednesday night two people had died due to same reasons and 24-hour death toll has reached to five.
The bodies and affectees were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Sale of locally prepared liquor was on rise in Nawabshah city and suburbs which often results in death and complexities.
The police after registering a case into the incident have started the investigation.
