Law enforcement officials in plain clothes reportedly arrested the deputy managing director of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Shoaib Warsi from the company’s head office in Karachi on Wednesday evening.
He was shifted to an undisclosed location for questioning.
The authorities concerned have not confirmed his detention, nor detailed the reasons behind the action.
A senior SSGC official, however, said that Warsi had been detained from outside the office on Sir Shah Muhammad Suleman Road near Civic Center.
