In another of its series of operation against eateries and food outlets serving unhygienic food, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Wednesday sealed a number of restaurants and imposed heavy fines. International food chain Pizza Hut, located at MM Alam Road Gulberg area, was sealed due to non-availability of license and unhygienic food conditions.
Yum Restaurant, located in the same area, was heavily fined and given last warning before sealing if it fails to improve hygiene conditions.
The Gulberg team imposed heavy fine with last warning of sealing on Khyberpass Restaurant, located in FaisalTown’s Moon Market, on the charges of unhygienic conditions.
The same team also fined on Krados Restaurant located in the same area for improper washing area and uncovered food.
In the meanwhile, Medlar Restaurant and Copeiro Restaurant in Barkat Market, Shahi Murgh Chanay near LDA flats, Rafique Sweets in Baghbanpura, Best Champion Foods in Badami Bagh and Ghosia Milk Shop in RaviTown were also sealed on different charges.
