A child died and 11 others injured in separated rain related incidents here on Thursday. Rain flooded the low lying areas and water entered in dozen of houses.
According to details, heavy rain lashed the provincial capital Peshawar due to which a dilapidated mud and stone made house in Dheri Baghbanan collapsed resulting in death of a child and leaving two others critically injured.
Due to heavy rain followed by strong, several sign boards and hoardings were broken in which nine people got injured. The injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) where according to hospital sources condition of some wounded people was serious.
Water flooded the low lying areas of the city and rain water entered the houses in Nishtarabad and residential area surrounding the Peshawar bus terminal wetting the households creating problems for the residents.
The affectees criticized the administration for poor management and arrangements to flush the rain water in the city and demanded of the provincial government for compensation of their losses.
