NAB arrests three for cheating public at large

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested three accused namely Saeed Ashraf, Qayyum Safdar and Asif Mehmoom in a Rs. 29.3 million fraud case. The accused are charged under the clause of cheating the public at large.

The accused have deprived general public of their hard-earned money by luring them to invest with them in their LCDs import business in return of promises of exorbitant profits.

The cheques issued by the accused to the investors as security at the time of investment were also dishonoured subsequently.

So far, the NAB has received more than 20 complaints against these accused for cheating the general public.

The accused after arrest were produced before the Accountability CourtLahore, which granted their physical remand of 14-days of each.
