COAS satisfied by military operation against extremists, commends morale

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif while expressing satisfaction over the proceedings and gains in the ongoing military operation against extremists has directed the troops to comprehensively cleanse the terrorists from their hideouts, to reduce the isolated terrorists to their size and to sever their links with their abettors.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS Gen. Raheel Sharif spent Thursday with troops in Shawal to review the ongoing military ground offensive against militants. He commended the troops for the speed and gains of the operations.

He said, “The main features behind launching anti-terrorism operations in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) have been achieved. Shawal valley has been sanitized from militants.”

He asked the troops for clearing the heights and occupying the main features and sanitizing the valley.

DG ISPR quoted COAS as saying, “We won’t allow anyone to kill our people, children in this country.” Adding that faces of all those who helped the terrorists will at any stage will be exposed.

While meeting the troops, Gen. Raheel Sharif commended their morale and said that Pakistan Army is playing impressive role in war against terrorism.
