Talking to journalists in the federal capital on Tuesday, Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said that the proposed committee for determination of constitutional status of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) was still in the process of formation and headway was only possible after the committee’s establishment.
Khalilullah said that once formed, proposed committee would be led by the Pakistan’s National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz.
A private broadcasting company had sent questions to the FO spokesman asking about the progress on the formation of the constitutional committee.
Previously, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif had said in GB that a committee has been constituted under Aziz to determine the constitutional status of the province.
