Paramilitary forces conducted an overnight raid in the Landhi’s Babar Market in Karachi on Tuesday and arrested a criminal, Kashif, linked to a political party besides seizing Indian made ammunition and firearms.
Weapons recovered from Kashif’s possession included two hand grenades, three rocket launchers and four Kalashnikovs.
Meanwhile, violence continued in Karachi as at least three people were wounded in an overnight gunfire incident on Tuesday near Firdous Center located in Liaquatabad.
According to details, at least four assailants riding motorcycles sprayed bullets around Firdous Shopping Center just after midnight on Tuesday, severely wounding three people.
Police said the injured include two brothers; one of them, identified as Rehan is in a critical state, as he received four gunshots to his chest. The wounded have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Police recovered casings of 9MM bullets at the scene.
