Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Monday approved Rs 9.1 billion for National Health Insurance program. More than 10 million people will benefit from the program in the first phase.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presided a meeting of National Health Insurance program in the capital. Federal Minister for Health Saira Afzal Tarrar told the PM that health insurance for poor families will be provided free of charge. The first phase of the program will begin in December 2015. More than a million people will benefit from the first phase of the programme.
