The federal government has issued directives to the CDA to conduct a survey in the Diplomatic Enclave to assess illegal constructions and encroachments.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatmi has directed the CDA to conduct a survey of the inner areas of the Diplomatic Enclave, identifying the encroachments and illegal structures that may have emerged without permission.
In a letter addressed to the CDA chairman, Fatimi said that he was surprised to know during his inspection of the Diplomatic Enclave last month that unlawful constructions and encroachments have popped up with impunity in the inner areas. Several embassies have also expressed their apprehension about these encroachments due to security concerns.
The letter said that encroachments could not be allowed in the name of security. The CDA has been directed to free the Diplomatic Enclave from encroachments and illegal occupations.
