Chamber of small traders’ patron credits army, Pakistan en route to becoming “Asian tiger”

Patron Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders Shahid Rasheed Butt on Sunday credited what he called “bold and revolutionary steps” of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif in Pakistan’s journey towards becoming an “Asia tiger”.

Speaking to the business community, Shahid Rasheed Butt said that principled stance of COAS and infused confidence among masses and the business community, improved image of Pakistan and strike fear in the hearts of enemies. The most popular personality in Pakistan has ensured peace across the stretch of country with special emphasis on FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which has sent a very positive signal.

“Peace has been restored across Pakistan while economy is taking off after a decade of unabated violence which was failing the state,” he said.

He said that credit of shopping worth 70 billion rupees by people of Karachi who were kept terrified for decades goes to the Army and Rangers, adding that role of army in the sit-ins, Yemen crisis, economic corridor, and renewing relations with Russia is highly laudable.

Wave of accountability has resulted restless nights for corrupt elements while the beginning of that process with conviction of two army generals has increased dignity of army leadership. He noted that international media that continued to malign Pakistan is now praising it which is ample proof of a change.
